Israeli occupation forces intensified demolitions across occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday, destroying homes and structures in Qalandia, al‑Judeira, Rafat and Jabal al‑Mukabber, while issuing new demolition notices.
The latest actions come amid a broader campaign that, according to the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, saw 76 Palestinian structures demolished in November alone, including inhabited homes, agricultural facilities, and sources of livelihood.
In Qalandia, north of occupied Jerusalem, troops surrounded the two‑story home of resident Samer Hamdiya before using heavy machinery to demolish it, claiming it was built without a permit in the area classified as “C.”
Soldiers fired teargas in the vicinity, though no injuries were reported. Hamdiya, who had lived in the house with his family for years, attempted through his lawyer to file an urgent appeal to the Israeli court to halt the demolition, but his efforts failed.
Municipal officials said demolition notices were also delivered to two additional homes in the village.
Meanwhile, in Jabal al‑Mukabber, occupation forces accompanied municipal crews in demolishing a horse stable belonging to the Abdo family.
Earlier the same morning, bulldozers demolished walls and leveled foundations of a wedding hall in al‑Judeira, northwest of Jerusalem. The hall had previously been demolished under coercion.
Ahmad Dheeb, head of al‑Judeira municipality, said the army invaded the town with military vehicles and demolished the foundations of the home.
Also in Jerusalem, the soldiers demolished a three-story Palestinian home in the town of Rafat, northwest of Jerusalem, again citing lack of permits.
According to the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, Israeli authorities carried out 46 demolitions in November, targeting 76 structures.
These included 20 inhabited homes, two uninhabited houses, 30 agricultural facilities, and 23 sources of livelihood. The demolitions were concentrated in Hebron with 30 structures, Jerusalem with 15, and Bethlehem with 11.
The Commission added that 51 demolition notices were issued during the same month, continuing the campaign of restrictions on Palestinian construction and natural growth. Notices were concentrated in Bethlehem (21), Hebron (14), Nablus (6), Tubas and the northern Jordan Valley (2), and Ramallah and al‑Bireh (1).
