On Friday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers carried out a series of assaults targeting Palestinian farmers and lands in Hebron and Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s southern and central parts.
Local activist Osama Makhamra reported that colonizers originating from the illegal Otniel colony, built on confiscated Palestinian lands, used a bulldozer to destroy a 50-square-meter agricultural shed in the Khallet al-Farra area, west of Yatta town, south of Hebron.
Makhamra added that the colonizers also stormed the Akhlal al-Hummus area, east of Yatta, where they broke into the home of Mohammad Abdullah Obeid, vandalized windows, and looted furniture and electronic devices, including the mobile phones of Obeid’s wife and son, allegedly to prevent documentation of the incursion.
Israeli soldiers subsequently arrived, detained Obeid, and interrogated him for several hours, instead of removing the colonizers.
Further acts of aggression by the colonizers included releasing cattle to graze around Palestinian homes, uprooting trees and grapevine saplings, and destroying irrigation infrastructure.
Meanwhile, in Shuqba town west of Ramallah, colonizers assaulted Palestinian farmers, threatening them with gunfire if they did not vacate their land.

They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
