On Wednesday, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) reported that Israeli soldiers and police officers abducted seventeen Palestinians from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and at its gates, in occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank on the first day of the Al-Adha Muslim feast.
The soldiers and the officers stormed the courtyard of the holy site and the Bab Ar-Rahma Mosque in the holy compound before assaulting many Palestinians.
The army then abducted seventeen Palestinians from the holy sites and at its gates before moving them to a nearby police facility and releasing three.
Silwanic stated that an Israeli court decided to release Ahmad Al-Ajlouni, Karam Obeid, and Khaled Al-Barghiti, from Jerusalem’s Old City, unless the Public Prosecutor appealed the decision and preconditioned their release by bail of 3000 shekels each; they also must be accompanied by a family member whenever they leave their homes.
In related news, the soldiers confiscated the car of former political prisoner Kifah Sarhan after stopping and interrogating him at the Zaim military roadblock east of occupied Jerusalem.
On Wednesday dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted Mohammad Daoud Hammad, 38, at a military roadblock north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part.
