On Thursday, Israeli soldiers abducted twelve Palestinians in Tammun, south of Tubas in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern region, while continuing their offensive in Tubas and the Al-Far’a refugee camp for the fifth consecutive day.
Kamal Bani Odah, the head of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) in Tubas, reported that soldiers stormed and ransacked dozens of homes, causing substantial damage before abducting twelve Palestinians.
Bani Odah identified the abducted individuals as Yassin Abdul-Fattah Ibrahim, Mohammad Omar Bani Odah, Mustafa Ali Abu Reehan, Ayham Jawdat Bani Odah, Mohammad Emad Bani Odah, Saher Abdul-Rahim Abu Hassan, Aws Ibrahim Bisharat, Hamdan Jamil Bani Odah, Izzedine Jamil Bani Odah, Mohammad Abdul-Rahim Latif, Yazin Abdul-Rahim Latif, and Mustafa Mohammad Bani Odah. He noted that Aws Ibrahim Bisharat was taken from a Palestinian ambulance while being transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the military continued its offensive in Tammun and the Al-Far’a refugee camp, causing severe damage to private and public property, including homes, shops, and cars.
Infrastructure, such as water pipelines serving homes and farmlands, was also damaged, and many bulldozed streets were blocked with sand hills.
On Wednesday evening, the army detonated the door of the “Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman” mosque in Tammun town and continued bulldozing operations, causing damage to the infrastructure.
Occupation forces carried out at least 8 drone strikes in Tammun town between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning; no injuries were reported.
In the Al-Far’a refugee camp, forced at least 25 Palestinian families to evacuate their homes, and assaulting young men, before converting the homes into military barracks, while bulldozers destroyed infrastructure and citizens’ homes.
In related news, soldiers invaded the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, closed streets, and fired live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades. They detained and assaulted many Palestinians after storming their homes and stores.
In occupied Jerusalem, soldiers invaded the home of Khaled Shawqi Halabi, 47, who is expected to be released as part of the ceasefire deal in Gaza. They threatened to abduct him and his family if they celebrated his release.
It is worth mentioning that Aws was initially abducted in April 2002 and was tortured and interrogated for several months before being sentenced to 28 years.
