On Friday night, Israeli soldiers carried out military incursions into two areas near Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, Husan village to the west, and Al-Khader town to the south of the city.

Rami Hamamra, head of the Husan Village Council, reported that several Israeli military vehicles entered the village and closed off the Al-Matina area at its eastern entrance after erecting a military roadblock.

Soldiers proceeded to stop and search numerous vehicles, interrogating several Palestinians while inspecting their identification cards.

In a separate operation, soldiers also stormed Al-Khader town and shut down the main road leading to the Old Town.

According to local sources, troops detained and questioned a young man after checking his ID, before firing live ammunition and pursuing several other youths in the vicinity.

In related news, Israeli forces shot and abducted a young man, abducted two children, and assaulted two others, in the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
