Israeli troops opened fire on Saturday, at local Palestinian farmers in southern Gaza, mainly in the Khuza’a rural area, east of the southern Khan Younis city.

Local Palestinian media sources and witnesses said that Israeli troops, stationed on the Israeli side of the border, east of Khan Younis city, opened fire with tear-gas canisters on a group of Palestinian farmers, forcing them to flee their workplaces.

No causalities were reported.

Israeli fire on Palestinian farmers is reported frequently in various parts of the Gaza Strip, from the south to the north.

In the meantime, Israeli naval forces, three nautical miles off the shores of Gaza, opened fire with powerful water hoses on Palestinian fishermen, northwest of Gaza City, forcing them to return to shore.

No injuries were reported.
