Israeli airstrikes have continued to devastate the impoverished and besieged Gaza Strip, with medical sources reporting 70 Palestinians killed since dawn on Sunday, and another 17 killed—most of them women and children—as the bombardments persisted past midnight into Monday – Day 42 since the resumption of the genocide.
In Jabalia, northern Gaza, medical sources confirmed that ten Palestinians were killed, and many others injured in an Israeli strike targeting the Abu Mohadi family home, west of the Jabalia refugee camp.
Earlier, two Palestinians were killed and several injured in another bombing of a home within the Jabalia refugee camp.
In Gaza City, the Israeli army fired a missile at a home in the Sudaniyya area, northwest of the city, killing at least seven Palestinians and injuring several others.
Two Palestinians were injured in shelling targeting the Safina buildings, which have been repeatedly bombarded in recent attacks and serve as shelters for displaced families.

In Khan Younis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the death toll from an Israeli strike on a home in Jorat Al-Lot has risen to eight.
The army also fired several artillery shells at the Qizan Abu Rashwan area and other southern parts of Khan Younis.
Medical sources said two Palestinians, including an infant girl, Misk Elian, were killed and several others injured, when the army targeted a tent of a displaced family in the Shaf’ewy camp, west of Khan Younis.
Eight Palestinians were killed, and many injured, including children and women, when the army bombarded tents of displaced families in Hamad city, north of Khan Younis, while a young woman, Maram Jaber Mousa, succumbed to serious wounds she suffered when the army bombarded a tent, west of Khan Younis.
Earlier, an attack on a tent sheltering displaced families northwest of the city killed eight Palestinians and injured many others.
It is worth mentioning that the number of slain Palestinians from the Sunday Israeli bombing of the Kaware’ family home in Khan Younis, has reached 14, after the bodies of four Palestinians were found under the rubble.
In addition, the Israeli military has escalated its attacks, launching intensified airstrikes and artillery shelling on tents sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis’ Mawasi area.
The bombardment has resulted in numerous casualties, including fatalities. Additionally, Israeli naval forces opened fire on civilians gathered along the shores of Khan Younis.
The Israeli army also acknowledged the deaths of an officer and a soldier in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, as well as injuries to others. This brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza since Thursday to four, with eight wounded.
In Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part, Israeli fighter jets carried out air raids on Rafah, while occupation forces systematically demolished residential homes across the city. Meanwhile, Israeli gunfire targeted northwestern areas of Beit Lahia, further worsening the destruction and humanitarian crisis gripping the region.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, reported striking an Israeli Merkava-4 tank with a Yassin-105 anti-armor missile and detonating an explosive device near Israeli soldiers, causing casualties.
In a separate incident, the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, launched a guided missile at a house in eastern Al-Tuffah that had been occupied by Israeli soldiers and converted into a military post.
The Israeli military is preparing to intensify its offensive in Gaza in the coming days, deploying additional reserve forces in an effort “to pressure Hamas into accepting Israel’s terms in the indirect prisoner exchange talks.”
Meanwhile, Hamas announced that its delegation had left Cairo after discussions with Egyptian officials regarding efforts to halt Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza.
In a statement, the movement said its representatives outlined a vision for a comprehensive agreement that would include a ceasefire, prisoner exchange, humanitarian relief, and reconstruction.
On the humanitarian front, the World Food Programme has raised alarm over dire conditions in Gaza, warning that food supplies have run out and clean drinking water is scarce.
With flour stocks depleted and bakeries shuttered, nearly two million Palestinians face the imminent threat of starvation and dehydration as Israel continues to restrict the entry of essential aid.
On its part, the Gaza Government Media Office reported that Israeli forces have killed 212 journalists in what it described as repeated attempts to silence the truth.
The office also stated that more than 1,400 doctors and healthcare workers, along with 113 civil defense personnel, have been killed during the ongoing conflict.
Additionally, the report highlighted the devastating impact on families, noting that over 5,070 families have been entirely wiped out, leaving only a single survivor in each case.
The Palestinian Health Ministry updated its cumulative casualty figures after verifying additional data, adding 697 previously unrecorded fatalities to the tally.
Since the resumption of the Israeli offensive on March 18, at least 2,151 Palestinians have been killed and 5,598 wounded.
Israeli attacks have claimed the lives of more than 52,243 Palestinians, including 18,000 children and over 12,400 women. Entire families have been wiped out, with over 2,180 families losing both parents and all their children. Additionally, more than 5,070 families have been reduced to a single surviving member.
Rescue and civil defense teams continue to face immense challenges in retrieving victims trapped under rubble amid relentless bombardment.
The toll on healthcare workers has also been devastating, with over 1,400 doctors and medical staff killed, alongside 113 members of civil defense teams.
These figures remain incomplete, as many victims remain under rubble or on the streets, inaccessible to emergency and rescue teams in various parts of the destroyed Gaza Strip.
