A Palestinian man was killed, and several others were injured, on Tuesday evening when an Israeli military drone fired a missile at a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al‑Mawasi area northwest of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Medical teams at Nasser Hospital reported receiving the body of one slain civilian along with multiple wounded residents following the drone strike, which targeted a tent used by displaced Palestinians seeking refuge in the coastal Al‑Mawasi area.

The attack comes amid the ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip, where displaced communities continue to face repeated strikes despite being pushed into designated “safe zones.”

In a separate strike the same evening, ten Palestinians were injured—one of them critically—when an Israeli drone bombed another tent sheltering displaced families in the Shati’ refugee camp west of Gaza City.

The attack occurred as Israeli artillery simultaneously shelled areas north of Al‑Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, while occupation forces continued large‑scale demolition operations east of Khan Younis.

Medical sources warned that the repeated targeting of tents and makeshift shelters has sharply increased casualties among displaced families who have nowhere else to go amid the destruction of homes and the collapse of civilian infrastructure across the Strip.

Earlier Tuesday, the Israel army killed two Palestinians and injured many others in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, and in Khan Younis.

In an earlier update, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said the number of Palestinians slain since the ceasefire began has risen to 933, with 2,868 wounded, and 781 bodies recovered from destroyed areas. Since October 7, 2023, the cumulative toll has reached 72,942 Palestinians killed and 172,967 injured.

Rescue teams and civil defense crews continue to report severe difficulty reaching victims due to ongoing Israeli fire, collapsed structures, and the near‑total breakdown of emergency response capacity under the prolonged siege.
