Israeli occupation forces continued a large‑scale invasion on Monday targeting the Qalandia refugee camp and the towns of ar‑Ram and Kafr Aqab north of occupied Jerusalem, abducting more than 35 Palestinians and breaking into and damaging numerous homes and properties.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli forces have been invading the three areas since the early hours of Monday morning, carrying out extensive home invasions and searches, and converting several residential buildings into military posts after forcibly evacuating their occupants.

The assault has been accompanied by drone activity and a heavy military deployment across the northern perimeter of the city.

The Governorate reported that the ongoing invasion has resulted in multiple injuries, including live‑fire wounds and others caused by severe beatings, in addition to dozens of cases of tear‑gas inhalation amid intense firing of live ammunition and gas canisters inside residential neighborhoods.

Israeli forces also carried out widespread abductions, detained dozens of residents, and conducted field interrogations inside homes. Troops simultaneously closed several roads and entrances to the area, severely disrupting daily life for tens of thousands of Palestinians.

In conjunction with the military violations, Israeli forces issued demolition orders targeting dozens of residential and commercial structures in and around the invasion zones, marking a further escalation of the assault on the northern Jerusalem area.

On Monday evening, the soldiers closed the bridge of the village of Jaba’, north of Jerusalem, with earth mounds.

The bridge—used by residents of Jaba’ to travel toward ar‑Ram—is the village’s only vehicular access point. The closure forces residents to leave the village on foot in order to reach alternative routes.

Israeli forces also continue to close the Jaba’ gate installed near the military roadblock at the entrance to the village.

Late on Monday evening, Israeli occupation forces also invaded the towns of Silwan south of occupied Jerusalem and al‑‘Isawiya northeast of the city, deploying heavily throughout both areas.

The Jerusalem Governorate confirmed that the invasion remains ongoing at the time of reporting, with additional military reinforcements deployed and a continued escalation affecting the entire northern approach to occupied Jerusalem.

The Governorate condemned the assault and the accompanying violations against residents, warning of its serious consequences and calling for urgent international intervention to halt the attacks.
