One worker injured, at least ten other civilians kidnaped by Israeli troops during invasions targeting west Bank communities. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Israeli soldiers shot, on Monday, a Palestinian day laborer in Wadi al-Hummus area, near the al-Khass and an-No’man villages, east of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, as he was trying to enter Jerusalem for work.

Mohammad Awad, the head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) in Bethlehem, said the soldiers shot Mahmoud Salah, 31, with a live round in his right leg. He added that Red Crescent medics rushed to the scene, and provided the man with the needed urgent aid, before moving him to Beit Jala government-run hospital, in Bethlehem. Salah’s wounds were described as moderate-but-stable.

It is worth mentioning that many Palestinian workers have been shot, and others abducted, by the soldiers in this area, and various parts of the Bethlehem district.

Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers abducted, overnight and earlier Monday, ten Palestinians in Jerusalem, Tulkarem, Ramallah, Nablus, and Jericho, in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) reported.

The Tulkarem office of the PPS, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, said the soldiers abducted two Palestinians from their homes in Deir al-Ghsoun and Saida towns. The soldiers also invaded Rantis village, northwest of Ramallah, and abducted two Palestinians after violently searching their homes. In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted two Palestinians.

In addition, the soldiers invaded the town of al-Yamoun, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, abducted a young Palestinian man and invaded a car wash facility. The soldiers also invaded Deir Sharaf town, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and abducted a young man from his home. Another Palestinian was abducted in the al-‘Oja town, in Jericho.

At the political level, Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, member of Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee condemned on Monday Israel’s decision to  expand illegal settlement in occupied East Jerusalem. She called the movie an attempt to destroy any hopes for the establishing of Palestinian state and Jerusalem as its capital.
