On Sunday, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a young man who was shot and seriously injured by Israeli soldiers in the Jenin refugee camp, Jenin city, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, last Tuesday.
The Health Ministry stated that Abdul-Jawad Yasser Al-Ghoul, 26, from the Jenin refugee camp, succumbed to his wounds.
Al-Ghoul was shot by undercover Israeli soldiers in the Al-Jabriyyat neighborhood, sustaining serious injuries before Palestinian medics rushed him to a hospital in the city and later transferred him to the Istishari Arab Hospital in Ramallah.
Al-Ghoul’s death brings the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers in the past few days to sixteen, with dozens more injured.
Jenin Governor Kamal Abu Ar-Rob stated that the soldiers demolished approximately twenty homes in the Jenin refugee camp and added that the army is still refusing to allow medical teams into the camp to search for injured or potentially slain Palestinians.
He also mentioned that the soldiers are preventing journalists from entering the refugee camp amidst the extensive destruction of homes and infrastructure.
On Saturday night, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced the death of the child, Laila Mohammad Ayman Al-Khatib, 2, after Israeli forces shot her in the village of Ash-Shuhada, southwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
On Saturday evening, medical sources said the soldiers shot and seriously injured Ahmad Mahmoud Hashash, 42, before Palestinian medics rushed him to a hospital in Nablus, where he succumbed to his serious injuries.
On Friday, Israeli forces assassinated two Palestinians, including a child, in the town of Qabatia, south of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, bringing the number of slain Palestinians to 14, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against Jenin, the Jenin refugee camp, and the surrounding towns and villages, on Tuesday.
The bodies of the slain Palestinians, including the child, Mohammad Amer Zakarnah, 17, and the young man, Mohammad Ragheb Kamil, 23, were buried in the town’s cemetery.
Israel has now killed 878 Palestinians, including 180 children, 17 women, 14 elders, 1 journalist, and two medics, since October 7, 2023.

The Palestinians were supposed to be allowed to return to northern Gaza, Saturday, but the soldiers attacked them with live fire, killing a Palestinian and injuring at least two others, in violation of the ceasefire agreement which came into effect just 6 days earlier.
The number of slain Palestinians in the coastal region has reached at least 47.283, including more than 17.841 children, and 12.298 women, and injured at least 111,166, largely children, women and elderly, since October 7, 2023.
