A Palestinian man was injured on Tuesday morning after illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers assaulted him in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
Residents said that a group of colonizers attacked residents in the village, before the locals tried to push them out of their lands.
They added that the colonizers beat Hamed Ismael Musallam, causing multiple bruises across his body, and also smashed his vehicle during the attack.
In related news, several Israeli military vehicles invaded Qusra, closed several streets in a few neighborhoods, and initiated searches.
The attack in Qusra, south of Nablus, is not an isolated incident but part of a long‑standing and intensifying pattern of violence by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers across the central and northern West Bank. Qusra, in particular, has been a flashpoint for years due to its proximity to several outposts on stolen Palestinian lands.
Since late 2023, violence by Israeli colonizers has escalated sharply across the West Bank. Entire Palestinian communities have been forcibly displaced, and dozens of villages have reported repeated attacks.
Colonizers have increasingly used firearms during assaults, often coordinating operations between multiple outposts. Qusra has been among the hardest‑hit communities, witnessing several deadly incidents, including the killing of several Palestinians during colonizer attacks and subsequent Israeli military invasions.
Qusra’s location makes it particularly vulnerable. The village sits between the colonialist bloc of Shilo, a cluster of outposts to the east of Nablus, and expanding colonialist corridors that link the Jordan Valley to central West Bank colonies.
This geography places Qusra in the path of ongoing territorial consolidation efforts, where colonizer violence is routinely used to pressure Palestinian communities, restrict access to farmland, and facilitate de facto annexation of surrounding land.
