17-year-old Muhammad Mahmoud Kiwan, from the Palestinian town of Umm al-Fahm in northern Israel, was pronounced dead on Wednesday as a result of gunshot wounds he sustained last week by Israeli police gunfire.
Last week, on May 12th, Muhammad participated in a peaceful protest with other Palestinian youths against the Israeli evictions of many families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in occupied Jerusalem.
During confrontations between the demonstrators Israeli police, Muhammad was shot in the head by police, his family reported.
The family added that Muhammad was admitted to Rambam hospital in Haifa city and remained in a coma until his health deteriorated last night, the teen was pronounced dead by doctors on Wednesday morning.
