A Palestinian woman died late Tuesday night from critical wounds she sustained in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential building west of Gaza City the previous evening, raising the death toll from the attack to four.

Medical sources confirmed that Hidaya Al‑Batreekhi succumbed to her injuries hours after the strike, which hit a densely populated area near Al‑Kanz Mosque in the Rimal neighborhood on the eve of Eid al‑Adha.

The same attack killed instantly four Palestinians, including two women, and wounded five others.

The strike occurred amid Israel’s continued violations of the “ceasefire” agreement, which has been in effect for 227 days.

This latest escalation follows Israel’s claim that it targeted a senior Hamas military commander in Gaza, an operation that coincided with the killing of eleven Palestinians and numerous injuries within a 24‑hour period.

Since the agreement came into force, Israeli forces have carried out 3,005 violations, including airstrikes, direct attacks on civilians, the destruction of entire residential blocks, repeated gunfire, and ground incursions into populated areas.

According to official data, these violations have resulted in:

  • 910 Palestinians killed
  • 2,747 wounded
  • 82 Palestinians abducted by Israeli forces

These figures continue to rise as Israeli attacks persist across the Gaza Strip despite the declared ceasefire.

On Tuesday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Israel has killed more than 72,803 Palestinians and injured at least 172,855 across the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
