Israeli soldiers abducted, on Monday evening, a young Palestinian woman at a military roadblock near her town, Beit Ummar, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Media activist, Mohammad Ayyad Awad, said the soldiers abducted Anagheem Bader Hussein Awad, 21, before moving her to an unknown destination.

He added that it remained unknown why the soldiers abducted the young woman, a student of the Hebron University.

Earlier Monday, the army claimed a Molotov cocktail was hurled at a military tower on the entrance of Beit Ummar town.

The soldiers fired a few live rounds and gas bombs, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, in addition to invading and searching many homes in the area.
