Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child on Wednesday in the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry occupation forces shot and killed the child, Mahmoud Mithqal Ali Abu Al-Haija (12 years old) in Al-Yamoun town.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported the body of the child whom was shot in the abdomen and cheek with live rounds, to the Jenin Governmental Hospital.
Media sources said that the army invaded the town on Wednesday afternoon, sparking protests, while resistance fighters confronted the invading soldiers with live rounds and crude explosive devices.
In related news, Israeli forces critically injured a Palestinian young man after storming the eastern part of Nablus city, in the northern West Bank.
Media sources said that occupation forces shot a young man in the chest with live ammunition; his condition was described as critical.
Soldiers invaded the popular housing “Masaken al-Sha’abi” area and opened fired with rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades, triggering protests and the subsequent injury.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 128 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 23 children and 5 women, according to the Shireen Observatory.
Occupation forces have killed 55 Palestinians in Jenin, 20 in Tubas, 18 in Nablus, 14 in Tulkarem, 5 in Hebron, 5 in Bethlehem, 4 in Ramallah, 3 in Qalqilia, 3 in Jerusalem, , and 2 in Salfit.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 51,305, including women and children, while at least 117,096 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
