On Monday, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian in the town of al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank.
Media sources said the soldiers fired several live rounds at the 35-year-old man near the Annexation Wall section in the town, wounding him in both legs.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics rushed to the scene, stabilized his condition and transferred him to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah in the central West Bank.
In related news, the soldiers invaded al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah, storming and ransacking homes and converting three into military posts and sniper towers.
Local sources said soldiers seized the residences of Faleh Abu Alia, Saqer Abu Alia and Saleh Abu Alia, forcing each family into a single room before occupying the remainder of their properties.
Al-Mughayyir, in the Ramallah governorate, has endured near-daily invasions and assaults by Israeli forces and settler militias.
Last April, settlers carried out 231 acts of sabotage and theft against Palestinian property, targeting vast swaths of farmland. Their attacks also uprooted 1,168 olive trees, 530 in Ramallah governorate, 300 in Nablus and 298 in Salfit, depriving dozens of families of their main source of livelihood.
