Israeli soldiers and illegal paramilitary colonizers attacked Palestinian civilians throughout the West Bank on Sunday, following a trend of increasing Israeli settler violence, and over four months of Israeli sieges and destruction of large parts of Jenin, Tulkarem and the Jenin and Nur Shams refugee camps.

See Sunday’s Gaza report here.

The following attacks by Israeli soldiers and colonizers in the West Bank were documented by local sources:

9:56 pm

Israeli occupation forces stormed, on Sunday evening, the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.

A Wafa news correspondent reported that an Israeli army force stormed Hizma and drove its vehicles through the streets, without any arrests or raids being reported.

Earlier this evening, three citizens were shot and wounded during an attack by colonizers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, on the eastern part of the town.

The colonizers also burned a hut in the town belonging to citizen Afif Ahmed Suleiman Rizq Askar.

Israeli occupation forces also stormed the towns of Bal’a and Deir Al Ghusun in the Tulkarem governorate in the occupied West Bank (image above of armored vehicle, taken during that invasion).

9:45 pm

A group of colonizers led by Gabriel Kalash, the security official in the Mevo’ot Yeriho illegal colony, stormed Arab al-Malihat community north of Jericho on Sunday evening, amid fears of new attacks against citizens.

Local sources reported that colonizers, who had set out from the nearby colonialist outpost, began gathering east of Al-Kaabneh Elementary School and carried out surveillance and monitoring operations on residents’ movements in the area, a scene that raises concerns about a potential escalation against the residents.

Hassan Malihat, general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, said in a press release that the colonizer, Gabriel Kalash, is considered one of the most dangerous instigators and planners of attacks against citizens.

He has previously been involved in thefts, arson, and the demolition of Palestinian homes, as part of a systematic policy to terrorize residents and force them to leave their lands.

Malehat warned of the danger of these actions, which come within a broader context of daily violations against Bedouin communities in the Palestinian Jordan Valley, pointing to the state of fear experienced by residents, fearing imminent attacks that could be carried out at any moment.

Malehat called on human rights organizations and international bodies to assume their responsibilities and provide urgent protection for Bedouin communities, especially in light of the repeated raids and attempts to impose a fait accompli on the ground by force of arms.

9:00 pm

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) forced residents of a residential building in Jenin to evacuate it on Sunday evening, as part of their ongoing aggression on the city and its camp.

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces gave the residents of the Al-Taher building, located in the Al-Jabariyat neighborhood, until Monday morning to completely evacuate the building.

In this context, large numbers of occupation soldiers were deployed this evening on Nazareth Street in the city.

Earlier this evening, the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Ya’bad, southwest of Jenin, and obstructed vehicle movement.

The occupation continues its aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the 160th consecutive day, resulting in the killing of 40 citizens, in addition to dozens of injuries and detainees, and widespread destruction of infrastructure and property.

Also in Jenin on Sunday, the Israeli occupation army announced that it intends to pave a military road extending from the village of Matla, east of Jenin, through vast agricultural lands in the village of Raba, reaching a mountainous area in the Bziq plain, with the aim of establishing a new military post.

Ghassan Al-Bazour, head of the village council in Raba, told WAFA that the occupation authorities had notified them of the seizure of areas of land and agricultural basins owned by citizens from the village of Raba and the city of Tubas, under the pretext of building a colonial military road.

Al-Bazour added that the military road begins in the village of Matla and extends towards the Bziq plain to Jabal al-Masalma, where the occupation authorities are planning to establish a military observation post as part of an expansion plan aimed at strengthening control over the area.

He pointed out that the occupation had, last Thursday, delivered notices to seize agricultural land in Raba for military purposes, stressing that these measures are part of a systematic policy of land seizure and restricting urban and agricultural expansion in the village.

It is worth noting that the area of the village of Raba is estimated at approximately 27,000 dunams, and is inhabited by approximately 5,000 people. Since 2003, it has been subjected to repeated attacks, most notably the construction of the separation wall and the racist expansion on part of its fertile agricultural lands.

8:00 pm

The Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday notified the Masafer Yatta village council, south of Hebron, of the seizure of hundreds of dunums of citizens’ lands and a number of vital roads, for the purpose of expanding colonies and connecting them to the segregated colonialist road network.

Head of the Masafer Yatta village council, Nidal Abu Aram, told WAFA that the occupation forces had delivered a series of notices to the council ordering them to seize agricultural lands and prevent citizens from using or accessing them, especially the roads linking the village communities in the area.

According to these notifications, the road connecting the villages of Janba and Bir al-Ad has been seized, depriving residents and farmers of access to hundreds of dunams of land. The aim is to connect the Metzair colony to Bypass Road 317, in preparation for expanding the colony at the expense of Palestinian land.

One of the occupation’s decisions included seizing the road between Wadi Ma’in and Umm al-Shaqhan, in addition to seizing approximately 3 dunams of land belonging to the al-Jabarin family under the pretext of “military use,” which will prevent landowners from accessing approximately 700 dunams planted with olive trees.

In the same context, the occupation authorities issued a new order to seize large areas of land for the purpose of paving a new colonialist road around the “Jara’at Hanan” colony, which was illegally established about four years ago on land belonging to the Hawshiya family.

The notices also included the seizure of an agricultural road in the Tha’la area to connect the “Havat Ma’on” colony to Bypass Road 317, and the seizure of areas of land belonging to the Al-Arini family.

Abu Aram pointed out that the pace of land seizures in Masafer Yatta has escalated significantly since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, as the occupation authorities seek to impose a new fait accompli that consolidates colonies expansion and severs the ties between Palestinian villages and communities in the area.

7:20 pm

Israeli colonizers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, attacked Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, on Sunday evening.

The head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, Amin Abu Aliya, told Wafa news that Israeli colonizers attacked the outskirts of the village from the eastern side, and that residents confronted them and forced them to leave.

Earlier this afternoon, four citizens, including a woman, were injured and bruised in a similar attack by armed colonizers dressed in Israeli occupation forces’ uniforms, who attacked residents of Khirbet Umm al-Khair in the Masafer Yatta area.

The villages and communities of Masafer Yatta are witnessing repeated attacks by colonizers, as part of a policy of forced displacement practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities against the residents of the region.

7:15 pm

Israeli colonizers forced Palestinian shepherds to leave their lands in the northern Jordan Valley on Sunday evening.

Local sources reported that colonizers riding mountain vehicles pursued shepherds and forced them to leave their grazing lands in Khirbet Samra in the Jordan Valley.

Also Sunday, Israeli colonizers on Sunday detained a herd of cows belonging to a citizen while grazing them in the Al-Hamma area in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local sources reported that colonizers seized a herd of cows belonging to Rafeh Mohammed Fuqaha while they were grazing in the pastures near his tents in Al-Hamma in the northern Jordan Valley, amid fears that they would be seized.

In recent months, colonizers have been escalating their attacks against citizens and their property, with the aim of creating an environment that repels them from the Palestinian Jordan Valley and emptying it of them.

Two days ago, Palestinian families from the village began dismantling their homes and leaving due to the escalation of colonizers attacks.

5:39 pm

Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, on Sunday evening.

A Wafa news correspondent added that the injured are: Awda Ahmed Awda Askar, Ghazi Badr Daoud Dar Amer, and the young man Ahmed Mustafa.

According to eyewitnesses, the colonizers burned a hut belonging to Afif Ahmed Suleiman Rizq Askar.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces had previously bulldozed and destroyed the land targeted by the colonizers’ attack.

5:07 pm

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday handed over a final demolition order to the home of Musa Nihad Badran in the Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem. The IOF gave Badran 21 days to carry out the demolition himself, or he will be liable for the demolition costs if he fails to do so.

It is noteworthy that more than 33 homes have been demolished in the Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan since October 7, 2023, as part of a systematic displacement policy that threatens dozens of Jerusalemite families in the neighborhood.

1:00 pm

The residents tried to confront them, but the occupation forces fired sound bombs and tear gas at them, assaulted them, and detained a number of them.

He added that the settlers’ attacks on the area have not stopped for several months and are escalating. They have included bulldozing, digging, tree planting, and road construction, so that the village is now surrounded by a colonial belt, to pressure the residents and force them to leave the area, facilitating their takeover for the benefit of colonial expansion.

12:50 pm

Israeli occupation forces on Sunday razed agricultural lands east of Bethlehem.

The head of the village council in Kisan, Musa Al-Abayat, reported that an occupation army force accompanied by vehicles stormed the Bir al-Sahl area located between the villages of Kisan and al-Rashaydah, and also located between the settlements of “Amos” and “Abi Yanhal”, which are located on citizens’ lands, and bulldozed lands to pave colonial roads and expand the two settlements.

He added that the landowners had submitted objections to the Israeli plans to seize the site, but they were completely rejected.

He pointed out that the land, which covers an area of approximately 400 dunums, belongs to the Al-Taamra and Al-Rashaydeh families, and the residents use it to grow rain-fed crops such as wheat and barley, in addition to the presence of approximately 400 perennial olive trees.

He stressed that the occupation has been preventing residents from accessing the land, harvesting olives, or farming and working there since October 7, 2023.

The same sources added that the uprooted trees were estimated to be around 15 years old. They also stole agricultural equipment and vandalized the farm’s water network, with material losses estimated at around 10,000 shekels.

The Israeli settlers also uprooted about 100 olive seedlings belonging to Mahmoud Mustafa Radwan, which were about three years old.

These trees are located in the eastern part of the town, known as Wadi Abu Shaar, adjacent to the main Qalqilya-Nablus road, known as Route 55.

This attack was not the first of its kind, as attacks on citizens’ lands in the same area continue to occur.

In a related development, Israeli occupation forces continue to close the entrance to the village of Kafr Laqif, east of Qalqilya, for the seventeenth consecutive day with an iron gate, obstructing the movement of residents and forcing them to use rough dirt roads to reach their homes or workplaces.

DAY 154 of Israeli siege on Tulkarem and Nour Shams Refugee Camp:

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their aggression on Tulkarem city and its camp for the 154th consecutive day, and on Nour Shams camp for the 141st day, amid military reinforcements and ongoing escalation.

Our correspondent reported that the city and its suburbs witnessed intensive movements of occupation forces and infantry units on Sunday, which were stationed on the main street of the Aktaba suburb east of Tulkarem. They set up a flying checkpoint, stopped vehicles, searched them, checked the identities of their passengers, and detained a number of them.

The occupation forces also raided the Dhnaba suburb east of the city, amid extensive searches, and detained a number of young men after raiding their homes, for long hours and taking them with them, before releasing them later. Among them were identified: Amr Abbas, the brothers Yazan, Muhammad, and Zein Al-Qassem, and Mahmoud Nabhan Awda.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces continue to impose a tight siege on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps and their surroundings, with infantry units and military vehicles deployed in alleys and entrances, preventing residents from reaching their homes or checking on their property, amid direct gunfire targeting anyone approaching the area.

Over the past week, Nour Shams camp witnessed extensive demolition of dozens of buildings and residential units, completely destroying them. This affected the neighborhoods of Al-Manshiya, Al-Maslakh, Al-Iyada, and Al-Jami’.

Over the course of two consecutive weeks, more than 50 buildings were demolished in Tulkarm camp, affecting the neighborhoods of Balawneh, Akasha, Al-Nadi, Al-Sawalmeh, Al-Hamam, Al-Madaris, and their surroundings.

This ongoing escalation comes as part of a plan announced by the occupation authorities last May to demolish 106 buildings in both camps, including 58 buildings in Tulkarem camp alone, comprising more than 250 housing units and dozens of commercial establishments, in addition to 48 buildings in Nour Shams camp, under the pretext of opening roads and changing geographical features.

The escalation has led to the forced displacement of more than 5,000 families from the two camps, representing over 25,000 citizens. It has also led to the complete destruction of more than 500 homes and the partial damage of 2,573 others. Meanwhile, the entrances to the two camps remain blocked with barriers, transforming them into almost lifeless areas.

In this context, the occupation forces continue their crippling measures at the city’s entrances, especially the Anab military checkpoint east of Tulkarm, which they close almost permanently, preventing vehicles from passing. They also periodically set up a flying checkpoint at the Jabara Bridge near the city’s southern entrance, exacerbating the residents’ suffering.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces continue to transform Nablus Street into a military barracks by continuing to seize a number of residential buildings there, as well as parts of the northern neighborhood of the city, specifically the one opposite Tulkarem camp, after forcibly evacuating its residents. Some of these neighborhoods have been under occupation control for more than four months, accompanied by the deployment of heavy machinery and bulldozers in their surroundings.

This street, which serves as a link between the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, has also suffered significant damage due to the earth mounds placed by the occupation forces several months ago, along with a heavy presence of occupation forces, who erect flying and surprise checkpoints, impeding vehicle movement and increasing the suffering of citizens.

The ongoing aggression has so far resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens of people have been injured and arrested, and widespread destruction has affected infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles.
