On Thursday, Day 73 since Israel resumed the genocide in Gaza, the Ministry of Health confirmed that 55 Palestinians have been killed since Thursday morning, including 19 individuals in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential block in Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza reports:
- The bodies of the slain in Al-Bureij refugee camp arrived at the hospital completely charred.
- The hospital spokesperson told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces used internationally prohibited weapons in their bombardment of Al-Bureij camp.
- 22 hospitals in Gaza have been completely shut down due to damage.
- The healthcare system in Gaza is in a catastrophic state, with severe shortages of medicine and medical supplies, leading to the spread of diseases and epidemics.
- 70,000 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition.
- 11,000 patients require urgent medical treatment, but the Israeli blockade is preventing the entry of essential medications.
Update: A Palestinian woman was killed when the Israeli army bombarded the Sikka Street area, in the Zeitoun neighborhood, south of Gaza city.
The Israeli army carried two air strikes at the Mansoura Street area in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza city.
The attack in Al-Bureij struck the home of the Al-Qarnawi family in the eastern part of the camp, causing extensive destruction and dozens of civilian casualties, including 19 fatalities, including three children and a woman.
Rescue teams continue efforts to recover victims, transporting the dead and injured to the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, while emergency crews search for0 those still trapped beneath the rubble.
The Israeli military carried out further bombardments across Tal Az-Za’tar in Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza, destroying multiple neighborhoods. Another Israeli airstrike struck a home and a children’s nursery on Old Gaza Street and Halabi Square in Jabalia, injuring several Palestinians.
The death toll among journalists has risen to 248, following the killing of Mo’taz Mohammad Rajab, a journalist with Al-Quds Today Satellite TV. Israeli strikes persist across the enclave.
Elsewhere, another Israeli airstrike struck Qizan Al-Najjar, south of Khan Younis, killing one Palestinian and wounding several others.
Emergency crews later recovered the body of a civilian from a bombed home in Abasan Al-Kabira, east of the city.
Another Palestinian was shot and killed near an aid distribution center in the Morag Axis, southwest of Khan Younis.
In Shuja’iyya, east of Gaza City, rescue teams pulled three bodies from the rubble following a previous Israeli airstrike.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes have continued across multiple areas in Gaza. Emergency crews retrieved the body of a Palestinian killed in an attack on the home of the Abu Al-Kass family in Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Rescue teams report that approximately 20 people remain trapped beneath the rubble, with ongoing bombardments and limited resources hampering efforts to reach them.
In another attack, five Palestinians, including children, were killed when Israeli forces targeted a vehicle belonging to a charitable organization providing food assistance to displaced families on Al-Nafaq Street in Gaza City.

Medical sources confirmed that approximately 11,000 cancer patients in Gaza have been cut off from essential treatment, as Israeli restrictions continue to block the entry of medical supplies and medications.
Cancer care in Gaza has completely halted, with intravenous chemotherapy and follow-up consultations no longer available.
The forced evacuation of Gaza European Hospital and Gaza Cancer Center has further worsened the crisis, depriving thousands of specialized medical care.
At least 5,000 cancer patients have urgent referrals for treatment abroad, yet the absence of early detection equipment has left many unable to receive critical care. Additionally, 64% of cancer medications remain unavailable, worsening the plight of those seeking urgent treatment.
Patients suffering from cancer face deteriorating health conditions amid severe social, psychological, and economic hardships, with no immediate solution to their worsening needs.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reports that 10% of Gaza’s Palestinian population has been killed since October 7, 2023, with children accounting for 31% of victims and women making up 21%.
Meanwhile, U.S. Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff has stated that Washington is preparing to send a new proposal aimed at securing a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, alongside a prisoner exchange deal.
UNICEF has issued a stark warning regarding Israel’s new aid distribution system for Gaza, describing it as a catastrophe. Executive Director of UNICEF emphasized that the new system is worsening an already dire humanitarian crisis.
The people of Gaza are facing severe food insecurity, with nearly half a million individuals on the brink of famine. Essential supplies are critically low, as the Israeli blockade has prevented aid from entering Gaza for two months.
The latest aid distribution plan, managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, is expected to further exacerbate the crisis. The limited number of distribution points will force civilians to travel far from their homes, exposing them to violence and danger.
At least 143 Palestinians have been killed, and 184 injured, since dawn on Thursday, in the last 24 hours, in addition to many who remain under the rubble, marking one of the deadliest days since Israel resumed the genocide on March 18, 2025.
