Tunisian President, Qais Said, reportedly said, on Saturday, that his country continues to support the Palestinian people and their cause of justice.
The president’s remarks came on the sidelines of a Ramadan breakfast banquet, he held for various Arab and Islamic ambassadors to Tunisia.
“We in Tunisa are still dedicated to the cause of the Palestinian people, including the Palestinian people’s right to return to their homeland, vis-a-vi all vicious plans that are aimed at grabbing and annexing more Palestinian lands”, President Said was quoted as saying.
In his speech, addressing his guests, he pointed out the importance of the values of friendship and respect among nations.
The President also maintained that his country has submitted a bill to the United Nations’ Security Council (UNSC), in which Tunisia calls for a collective international effort to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
