Gaza 4/25/2024 Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA) – Ambulance and rescue crews who participated in recovering the bodies of martyrs from the mass graves discovered in the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip reported that there were suspicions that some of the victims had been subjected to organ theft.
At least 392 bodies were recovered from three mass graves discovered in the Nasser Medical Complex, after the Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the city of Khan Younis.
Among the bodies were 165 unidentified and could not be identified due to the occupation changing the appearance of special signs to identify and mutilate the bodies.
Documented videos and photos showed some of the bodies of victims in mass graves, showing signs of torture and being shackled with plastic restraints.
The crews said: “They found some bodies with their hands tied, the abdomen open and stitched in a way that contradicts the usual methods of suturing wounds in the Gaza Strip, which raises suspicions about the theft of some human organs.”
She added: “The body of a citizen was also spotted wearing operational clothing, which raises doubts about his burial alive.”
In the same regard, she pointed out that “the body of a girl with her arms and legs amputated was spotted, and she was wearing operating room clothes, which raises doubts about her being buried alive.”
The crews observed that some of the martyrs were handcuffed with plastic ties, and that they were wearing a white robe that the occupation used as clothing for detainees in the Nasser Medical Complex, and there were signs of a gunshot wound to the head, which raises suspicions about their field execution and liquidation.
They also observed many bodies whose shrouds were changed and placed in new black and blue shrouds, which are plastic nylon bags that differ from the colors used in Gaza.
What raises suspicions is that the occupation’s goal in doing so was to raise the temperature of the bodies in order to speed up the process of decomposition and hide evidence.
Burials to depths of more than 3 meters were observed, in addition to bodies being piled on top of each other.
The crews considered that all previous evidence indicates that the occupation committed crimes against humanity and carried out field executions on the campus of the Nasser Medical Complex, as part of the genocidal war it has been waging against our people in the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October.
On April 7, the Israeli occupation forces withdrew from Khan Younis 4 months after their invasion, including storming the Nasser Medical Complex.
The United Nations, the European Union, the United States of America, and France called for an independent investigation into the mass graves in Gaza.
In addition to the mass graves of the Nasser Medical Complex, dozens of bodies were previously found in mass graves discovered after the occupation forces withdrew from the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City and the Martyr Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip continues despite the issuance of an immediate ceasefire resolution by the Security Council, as well as its appearance before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing “genocide.”
In an infinite toll, (updated April 27), the number of martyrs rose to 34,388, the majority of whom were children and women, and injuries to 77,437 since the start of the aggression.
