A Palestinian young man died on Monday, three years after he sustained serious injuries during an Israeli assassination operation in Jenin city. Occupation forces abducted a number of Palestinians in the West Bank governorates of Jenin, Qalqilia, Hebron, and Bethlehem.
Media sources reported that the young man Yousef Farahati, 19, died in a Jordanian hospital on Monday, three years after he was shot and seriously injured during an Israeli assassination operation which killed 3 young men and a 14-year-old child, in addition to injuring 21 others.
On March 16, 2023, undercover Israeli agents infiltrated the northern West Bank city of Jenin, killing Yousef Saleh Barakat Shreim, 29, Nidal Amin Zidan Khazem, 28, Omar Mohammad Awadin, 14, and Luay Khalil Zghayyar, 37.
Sources added that Israeli forces shot Farahati in the head with live ammunition; his family added that the injuries resulted in paralysis, in addition to a loss of vision and the ability to speak.
Meanwhile, in the village of Al-Jalama, north of Jenin, Israeli forces abducted the citizen Mazen Abu Zahou after breaking into and ransacking his home at dawn.
In the northwestern part of the West Bank, occupation forces abducted the citizens Mohammad Othman Daoud, Adib Al-Ghalban, Omar Shreim Al-Khail, Abdullah Qaraqa, and Baraa Hammad, after storming their homes in the city of Qalqilia.
On Monday evening, the army invaded the town of Kisan, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, and abducted five citizens, including two children.
Bakr Rashaydeh, the head of the Kisan village council, told the WAFA News Agency that Israeli forces stormed several citizens’ homes, and abducted the brothers Ahmad Hayel Rashaydeh, 20, and Adel Hayel Rashaydeh, 15, in addition to Falah Ali Rashaydeh, 16, Ismail Ahmad Rashaydeh, 20, and Yasser Salem Rashaydeh, 23.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Muhammad Rab’i, the head of the Tuwana village council, and Nasr al-Nawaj’ah, the head of the Susya village council, after invading their homes in Yatta town, south of Hebron.
In related news, occupation soldiers stormed the home of Major General Bilal al-Natsha in the Sharafat neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem, and ordered him to appear at the al-Maskubiya interrogation center on Tuesday.
Israeli forces fired several tear gas canisters at citizens and vehicles waiting at a gas station near the “Tarsala” settlement, in the town of Jaba’, southwest of Jenin; no injuries were reported.
Israeli forces stormed the city of Bethlehem on Monday morning, in addition to many towns and villages in the governorate, without any reports of arrests. In the afternoon, occupation forces invaded the city again, and positioned soldiers in the “Bab al-Zaqqaq” area and on the Jerusalem-Hebron road.
In the central West Bank, occupation forces invaded the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, on Monday evening, firing live rounds and detaining a number of citizens before releasing them.
A member of the Turmus Ayya municipal council, Awad Abu Samra told WAFA that Israeli soldiers invaded the town on Monday evening, broke into several citizens’ homes, seized surveillance camera recordings, while firing tear gas canisters.
On Monday night, Israeli forces stormed the city of Al-Bireh, east of Ramallah, and spread through several neighborhoods in the city.
