The so-called ‘Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’ (GHF), a private company based in Delaware and run by a close associate of Donald Trump, set up shop in Gaza in late May with the stated objective of distributing humanitarian aid to the starving population of 2.3 million Palestinians (this population estimate is based on pre-2023 numbers – the current population, according to a recent Harvard Study, may now be less than 2 million due to the ongoing Israeli genocide).
But what is the real objective of the GHF? Based on the company’s leadership, policies, practices and modus operandi, it is clear that the stated objective of distributing humanitarian aid is patently false, and the true objective is to further depopulate the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip. The company is directly participating in the Israeli genocide in Gaza, and has a rather nefarious purpose for doing so.
GHF was originally founded by the Boston Consulting Group, one of the world’s largest ‘management consulting’ firms, in January 2025. In launching its operation in Gaza, GHF and the Israeli military forced the existing 400 aid distribution sites (which were themselves insufficient) to shut down in March, and replaced them in late May 2025 with just 4 ‘Hunger Games’ style gladiator arenas of death, where Palestinians desperate for food are forced into a small area and then shot at by snipers while they fight over small bags of flour and food.
From May 27th, 2025, when the 4 ‘aid sites’ opened in Gaza, to July 25th, 2025, over 1000 Palestinians have been killed at these sites while trying to obtain food for their families. A week after the GHF ‘aid sites’ opened, on June 4th, 2025, the Boston Consulting Group withdrew its involvement, and US military veteran Jake Wood resigned his position as head of GHF, voicing his concerns over violations of “humanitarian principles” in implementing the work of the foundation. He was replaced by evangelical pastor and Trump buddy Reverend Johnnie Moore, a dangerous talking head with no experience in aid distribution – but a clear agenda of ridding Palestine of Palestinians.
In February 2025, Trump voiced his support for the Israeli government’s announced objective of ridding the Gaza Strip of its population of 2.3 million Palestinians through forced transfer. When Trump made that statement, Johnnie Moore, who was later selected to lead GHF in May, immediately tweeted his full support for the plan, calling Trump a ‘man of peace’ as he explicitly called for ethnic cleansing of Gaza.
Reverend Johnnie Moore, the current head of GHF, is an avowed Christian Zionist, with direct financial connections to the infamous Project 2025 that pushes a white supremacist agenda across all US policy (and was, at certain points, part of Donald Trump’s campaign promises). Moore founded a company cynically named the Kairos Company (following the release in 2009 of the Kairos Document by leading Palestinian Christians and religious leaders calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine and calling on Christians around the world to take action to this end). Moore’s company, however, focused not on the real threat to religious freedom in the Holy Land (the Israeli occupation), but on the perceived threat of Islam.
Moore is also the author of The Next Jihad: Stop the Christian Genocide in Africa, a book which falls into the genre of the ‘white genocide’ myth. That’s the white supremacist conspiracy theory, promoted by white South Africans like Elon Musk, that white South Africans are being killed in large numbers because of their race (which is simply not true), a conspiracy theory which recently led Donald Trump to provide asylum to wealthy white South Africans to the US. Reverend Moore promotes a dangerous brand of Christianity that seeks to bring about a ‘clash of civilizations’ (between the ‘Christian’ West and the supposedly Islamic East) so that a ‘Holy War’ can bring about the ‘End Times’.
This religion-based oversimplification of global political realities has led to some strange bedfellows: white supremacist neo-Nazi groups in the US supporting Israel because it is on the side of white supremacy and the Christian Right in this supposed ‘clash of civilizations’. The reality is that the current brand of Christian Zionism is just a re-branding of the Christian Right that supported and allowed the Holocaust to take place in Europe. The ‘Other’ in this case is Muslims, particularly Palestinians (as they are located in the place that Jewish Zionists claim as their inherited birthright), whereas in the era of the second world war it was Jewish people, communists, the disabled, gay people and Russians (the first ‘gas chamber’ was used by the Nazis in the prison camp of Neungamme, established outside Hamburg in 1938. 200 Russians were the victims of that first ‘experiment’ in mass killing that was then used in many of the Nazi prison camps in the years before the death camps were liberated by Soviet troops in 1945).
Throughout the Nazi Holocaust, Christian leaders in Europe, particularly in Germany, praised and supported the Nazi regime. Some dissented – and some were killed for protecting Jews and others targeted for extermination.
Now, we see Christian Zionists like Johnnie Moore and Secretary of State Pete Hegseth leading US foreign policy in the Palestinian Territories – a move that is incredibly concerning, given these men’s dangerous theological views about Palestine and Islam.
In 2024, Baptist News reported that Hegseth has close ties to “one of the most chauvinistic and vitriolic leaders of the Christian nationalist far right, Doug Wilson”, and himself sports tattoos of Christian Crusader symbols that symbolize a “Holy War” between Christians and non-Western civilizations. “Hegseth, an admirer of the Crusades, sports the Latin words ‘Deus Vult’ on his bicep and a Jerusalem Cross on this chest. ‘Deus Vult’ translates as ‘God wills it.’ The phrase dates to 1096 in the first Crusades. More recently, it has been adopted by Christian nationalists and far-right militia groups as well as perpetrators of racial violence.”
As more and more organizations sound the alarm about the starvation of the people of Gaza, which has now reached a stage-5 famine, with over 180 Palestinians having starved to death as of July 25th, 2025, and tens of thousands more on the brink of starving to death, the genocide has entered the extermination phase. Hence the entry of GHF into this clearly stated agenda.
On July 2nd, 2025, 169 relief organizations demanded a halt to the US-Israeli aid distribution mechanism led by the foundation. This followed weeks of daily reports of civilians killed by Israeli fire while waiting for aid at the GHF ‘aid sites’.
The organizations called for a return to the UN-led aid delivery mechanism in the Gaza Strip which was in operation in Gaza until March 2nd, 2025, when the Israeli occupation imposed a complete blockade on the Strip. The mechanism gradually allowed aid into the Strip in late May, distributing it through local organizations and networks. GHF, under the leadership of the US, has refused to do so, exacerbating an already severe crisis of Israeli-induced malnutrition and starvation of the Gazan population.
The establishment of GHF gladiator arenas for food distribution is reminiscent of the last direct US involvement in the Israeli genocide in Gaza: in May 2024, the US government initiated a ‘floating pier’ to be constructed on the Gaza coast. US officials claimed that the pier was for ‘aid delivery’, but the moment it was completed, the real objective became clear: Israeli troops, with US assistance, used the pier as the launching point for a botched ‘hostage rescue’ mission in which they invaded Jabalia refugee camp, killed over 150 civilians and emerged with four Israeli hostages. So the claim that the pier was about ‘aid delivery’ was never true, and the pier was dismantled soon after the botched operation.
During the Gaza genocide that was launched as a ‘revenge attack’ after an October 7th, 2023 attack by Hamas-affiliated and other Palestinian fighters, the Israeli military commanders have justified their wholesale leveling of thousands of buildings on the heads of the people inside, with the ever-repeated refrain, “Hamas was hiding under that hospital, under that family, under that child!” as they have completely decimated the entire infrastructure of Gaza – destroying whole neighborhoods and towns, flattening every university, library, cultural center, mosque and church. The ancient Church of St. Porphyrius was hit again for the third time on June 26th, 2025, killing 18 civilians and wounding dozens, including nuns, and the Holy Family Church was bombed by Israeli forces on July 17th, 2025, killing 3 and wounding a dozen people, including a priest. At a certain point, the Israeli justification falls completely flat – when you see the level of destruction, the real objective becomes clear: a complete dehumanization, erasure and extermination of the Palestinian population.
In fact, numerous Israeli officials have repeatedly and loudly stated their intent to rid the Gaza Strip of its entire Palestinian population.
Under the Biden administration, the US government went along with the Israeli aim, channeling billions of dollars of money and weaponry to the Israeli government while publicly stating that they were ‘working tirelessly for a ceasefire’. Now, with Donald Trump in power in the US, the US government is openly and blatantly calling for the genocide of the Palestinian people, while continuing the Biden administration’s (and every US administration since Jimmy Carter) funding of the Israeli military with billions each year in military aid.
On June 26th, 2025, an Israeli drone strike killed 18 Palestinians in Dir al-Balah, in central Gaza, when people gathered for flour distribution by US company GHF were hit by an aerial drone bomb (likely from a US military-connected company, which supplies much of Israel’s drone weaponry). This marks a new advancement in the flour distribution massacres, which have been occurring daily since GHF opened its operations in Gaza on May 27th, 2025. Each day, Israeli snipers have fired lethal and less-than-lethal weapons at Palestinians gathered to collect flour at the distribution sites, killing over 800 since May 27th. But this marked the first time that Israeli forces dropped a drone strike on the gathered crowds trying to obtain a small bag of flour for their starving family members.
Following that attack, US-trained mercenaries began joining the Israeli military each day at the four distribution sites, firing lethal and less-than-lethal weaponry at the gathered crowds. The casualty rate at the sites has increased significantly in the weeks since the US mercenaries joined the Israeli military at the ‘gladiator arenas’ set up by GHF for Palestinians desperate for food.
The Associated Press released an exposé on July 2nd, 2025, with videos showing American mercenaries contracted with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) directly opening fire on starving Palestinians at a GHF aid site. The videos were supplied by a former employee of UG Solutions, a security contractor hired by GHF. On one video, a loud burst of gunfire is followed by an American mercenary shouting, “I think you hit one!”, with another American responding, “Hell yeah, boy!”
This is the level of depravity that is being unleashed on the people of Gaza: US mercenaries literally cheering and throwing each other high fives as they gun down unarmed, starving civilians in the death camp that has been made of the ancient, once thriving Gaza Strip.
If the 169 aid organizations and the governments of the global south who have condemned this death camp are insufficient to stop it, the people of the global north must be the ones to stop the US government, the British and German governments, and the US and European arms manufacturers who fund and support Israel from continuing this death march of extermination. ‘End times’ prophecy believers who think they are on a ‘crusade’ against non-white Muslims and Arabs must not be the ones to decide the fate of the people of Gaza. GHF must be dismantled immediately, and all crossings re-opened to allow aid into the starving population imprisoned in the Gaza Strip.
