In a statement published on Wednesday at midnight, the brigade said it has launched at least 12 home-made Qassam shells and 10 mortar shells at Sderot, and 18 mortar shells at Sufa military base on the southern border of the Gaza Strip.
The statement added that this shelling comes on the 59 anniversary of Al-Nakba, and is meant to remind the Israelis that Palestinian refugees will return to their land from which they were expelled in 1948.
This recent shelling brings the number of home-made Qassams to 67, since Tuesday night when the brigade fired some 27 Qassam shells at Sderot causing some injuries and minor damage to property. Several residents were treated for shock.
