Israeli settlements in the occupied territories, including in and around occupied East Jerusalem are illegal under International Law and the Fourth Geneva Conventions to which Israel is a signatory.
The ongoing Israeli invasions, and violations, and its illegal and ongoing settlement activities in the occupied territories, pushed the Palestinian Authority to quit peace talks with Tel Aviv.
