The Israeli Authorities intend to implement a new plan following the Gaza Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip that will oblige Palestinian workers crossing into Israel from Gaza to obtain visas.
Merchants will have to pay taxes to Israel in order to be able to export their good from one side to the other.
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Sunday that after the withdrawal, Israelis who plan to enter Gaza will need to obtain a permit from the Israeli police. They will be required to hand their identity card to the Israeli police, in addition to obtaining a visa, at the border crossing. ÂÂ

Neither Israelis nor Palestinians, however, will need to carry passports in order to cross.
The plan was presented to the Israeli Defense Minister, Shaul Mofaz, in a secret letter prepared by the Israeli deputy Attorney General Malkhiel Blass.
According to the plan, the crossings will practically become border checkpoints, and the military will not be authorized to allow entry to Israel.ÂÂ
Currently, the Israeli ministry of justice is attempting to finalize regulations for entry into Israel after the Israeli withdrawal.
