Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday at dawn, Jenin city, Jenin refugee camp, and Qabatia town, in northern West Bank, searched and ransacked many homes and abducted five Palestinians, in addition to wounding one during ensuing protests.
Media sources in Jenin said the soldiers shot Jamil Nabil Awwad, 22, with a rubber-coated bullet in his leg, in the al-Marah neighborhood, in Jenin city.
They added that the soldiers attacked Palestinian protesters in Jenin and its refugee camp, and fired many gas bombs, rubber-coated steel bullets and rounds of live ammunition.
The soldiers also invaded and ransacked many homes, before abducting five Palestinians, identified as Ibrahim Nathem Turkman, Bakr Hilal Sabe’ and Omar Amer Abu Salam, from Jenin city.
In Jenin refugee camp, the soldiers also searched homes and abducted Hotheifa Sobhi Jabarin.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded Qabatia town, south of Jenin, searched homes and abducted Mos’ab Abdul-Nasser Hanaisha, 21. The Palestinian is a student at Birzeit University.
