Israeli troops reportedly closed down the entrance to Bany Naeem town, on Friday, on the eastern edge of the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron.
Local media sources and witnesses said that an Israeli army force surrounded the town, before it abducted a Palestinian youth, identified as Mahdi Abusnaina, near the Al-Haram Al-Ibrahimy (Ibrahimi) Mosque.
Sources added that the Israeli imposed closure of Bany Naeem town forced local Palestinian residents to take other unpaved rural roads, causing Palestinians longer and more difficult travel.
The Palestinian district of Hebron is frequently exposed to Israeli military measures including closure of roads and villages, arrest of local residents and other restrictive measures.
In Hebron, a number of Israeli colonial settlements surround Palestinian populations, mainly in the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
The Israeli settlements, illegal under international law and many United Nations’ resolutions, are protected by a heavy Israeli military presence.
