Israeli navy ships opened fire, on Friday morning, at several Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza Sea, wounding one fisherman with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head.
Eyewitnesses said the navy attacked the Palestinian fishing boats while sailing less than three nautical miles from the shore, in the al-Waha area, northwest of Gaza city.
They added that medics rushed to the scene, and moved one fisherman, 26 years of age, to the Shifa medical center,
The fisherman was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head, and suffered moderate wounds.
The fishermen lost all his fishnets in the sea due to the attack, and had to return to the shore without being able to fish to provide for their families.
The attack is part of numerous and ongoing Israeli violations against Palestinian fishermen, farmers, and workers in the besieged and imprisoned Gaza Strip.
