Israeli troops abducted early on Friday, two Palestinian ex-prisoners in the West Bank village of Burqa, north of Nablus city.
According to Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in northern West Bank, stated that Israeli troops invaded the Burqa village, earlier on Friday dawn and broke into the homes of Ragheb Salah, 24 and Eid Salah, 24, before they abducted them.
The soldiers frequently re-arrest Palestinians, who were already released from Israel’s prisons after having served various imprisonment terms.
Furthermore, the Salem Israeli military court, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, sentenced Palestinian detainee, Salem Abu Baker, 28, to six years and eight months of imprisonment, in addition to a fine of about $5,000 US Dollars.
The military court also renewed the arbitrary Administrative Detention order of a local Palestinian lawyer of Jenin city, identified as Aseel Zoghby, for a period of four months.
In related news, the head of the Jenin office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), Montaser Sammour, told media outlets that prisoner, Ibrahim Salah, 40, has entered his eighteenth year of imprisonment.
Sammour said that Salah was abducted by Israeli troops back in June of 2003, and sentenced to 23 years of imprisonment.
He further noted that the Israeli troops demolished Salah’s home, back in 2002.
More than 5,000 Palestinians, including children, women, and elderly are currently held by Israel in various detention centers, interrogation facilities, and prisons.
