Israeli military issued orders to confiscate some 300 Dunams (75 acres) from the village of Kufur Thilith near the West Bank city of Qalqilia, Palestinian sources said on Monday.

The land will be used to construct the separation wall Israel is building inside the West Bank.

Villagers said they saw Israeli engineers accompanied with army measuring the land’s area on Sunday.

The land belongs to the family of Ahmad Jaber and the family of Yousef Miqbil in the village.

Earlier this year, the military constructed additional sections of the wall in the same region destroying some 500 Dunams of land planted with olive groves in addition to destroying farmlands and citrus fields.

The villagers said, the section that was build in 2002 destroyed some 2000 olive trees.

The village is located 12 kilometers (20 miles) southeast of the city of Qalqilia in the northwest of the West Bank.  The city is encircled by the wall except in a small part from the east.  An aerial view of the city looks like a bottle neck.
