Two Palestinians, Friday night, were assaulted by illegal Israeli settlers near al-Walaja village, west of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, the Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported.

Security sources confirmed that several Israeli settlers attacked two brothers, Ashraft Mustafa Najjar, 43, and Muhmmad, 40, both residents of al-Azzeh refugee camp, causing various injuries.

One of the two men suffered serious wounds and was rushed to a Bethlehem hospital. No further details were reported.

In related news, illegal Israeli settlers chopped dozens of olive trees in Al-Sawiyah village, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, WAFA further reported.

Local sources said that they discovered that dozens of olive trees had been cut down by settlers from the nearby illegal Israeli settlement of “Rahalim”.
