Palestinians in southern Nablus were held under curfew while dozens were imprisoned in small rooms since Wednesday. Early this morning Israeli forces finally left.
Lawyer Zayed Omran reported that Israeli soldiers invaded his home at six in the evening yesterday and forced his 20 member family, including women and children, to stay in one room, while the soldiers occupied the rest of the house, turning it into a military installation. His family was without water or medication for his elderly diabetic family members.
Another town resident, Fuad, said that Israeli forces detained a number of other workers in supermarkets and shops nearby for more than five hours after they turned the building into a military installation.
Israeli forces have also imposed a ban on driving in the town under the pretext that youth threw stones at invading Israeli military vehicles.
