Palestinian medical sources in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the
Gaza Strip, reported that one resident was killed and at least three
were injured after the Israeli soldiers invaded Khaza'a town, east of
Khan Younis.
The Ramattan news agency reported that resident Mohammad Abu Rowaida was killed and three other resident were injured after the tanks fired rounds of live ammunition at several areas in the town while military bulldozers were operating there.
The casualties are all members of the same family and not resistance fighters.
The invasion was carried out under air coverage by military apaches, local sources reported.
An Israel army spokeswoman claimed that the Israeli air force targeted two armed men who came close to the “security fence” north of the Sofa Crossing, separating the Gaza Strip from Israel.
Eyewitnesses reported that one of the shells fired by the army detonated in front of a house in the town, causing damage.
Four Palestinians were killed on Tuesday at night in two separate Israeli air strikes in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
