On day 76 of Israel’s ongoing onslaught on the Palestinian people in the devastated Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells killed and injured hundreds of Palestinians while the Israeli army continued its attempts to advance into Jabalia, in the northern part of the coastal enclave.

The Qatar-based Al-Jazeera said Palestinian resistance fighters are engaging in heavy exchanges of fire with the invading Israeli tanks in Jabalia.

Also in northern Gaza, the Israeli army fired dozens of artillery shells and thousands of live rounds, causing hundreds of casualties, while the Palestinian medics and Civil Defense teams remained unable to reach the targeted areas.

On its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its teams are trying to reach the area of the Rafah border crossing after Israeli missiles and shells struck many areas.

The PRCS said it received urgent calls for rescue after Israeli missiles and shells caused dozens of casualties near the border terminal with Egypt.

While the Israeli army has repeatedly targeted with missiles and shells the Palestinian side of the Rafah Border Terminal, it is currently intensifying strikes in the area after alleging that it is aiming at destroying tunnels reportedly “used for smuggling weapons” for the resistance in Gaza.

Various Israeli sources are reporting about what they called “unprecedented strikes” along the border area between Egypt and Gaza.

In addition, Israeli navy ships fired dozens of shells and missiles along the shores of both Rafah and Khan Younis.

The Israeli army, after intense bombing on Khan Younis, has forced thousands of Palestinians to leave large areas of the city.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said the Israeli army had ordered the immediate evacuation of an area covering about %20 of Khan Younis city, adding that this area, prior to October 7, was home to more than 111.000 Palestinians, in addition to at least 141.000 who fled northern Gaza and are now in 32 make-shift camps.

Furthermore, the Israeli army fired barrages of shells and missiles into the densely populated Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, while military helicopters also fired hundreds of bullets.

In addition, the Israeli army escalated its bombing and shelling of various areas across the northern and northeastern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Sources at the Shifa Medical Center in Gaza City said an additional three patients have died due to the lack of medical supplies, while Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that hundreds of patients and wounded Palestinians have died, and many are nearing death due to the ongoing siege and the lack of medical supplies.

The situation at the Shifa Medical Center is disastrous as it has no running water, no supplies or food, and does not have a sufficient number of healthcare workers, while hundreds of Palestinians continue to head to the medical facility, seeking shelter.

Media sources said an Israeli Apache helicopter has repeatedly targeted various areas around the Shifa Medical Center, while on Wednesday, the army bombarded a shelter near the facility.

Al-Jazeera said that, according to some Israeli sources, Tel Aviv is proposing a truce that includes a partial withdrawal of the army from Gaza and a prisoner swap agreement.

Israeli missiles and shells have killed more than 20.000 Palestinians, including at least 8.000 children and 6.200 women, in addition to wounding more than 52.600.
