On Wednesday evening, Fateh and Hamas movements traded accusation of exchanges of fire in two separate incidents in Gaza that caused the injury of eight Palestinians, including a leader of the Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, his wife and his two children.Also, three members of Fateh movement were injured after rounds of live ammunition were fired at them from a speeding vehicle. The three were moved to Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

Five people were injured when unknown gunmen fired at the vehicle of Eyad Al Shinbary, one of the leaders of the Al Qassam Brigades, in Beit Hanoun in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The shots were fired at him as he was driving near Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City. Al Shinbary, his wife and his two children were injured in the attack, two other bystanders were also injured.

Dr. Jom’a Al Saqqa, head of the public relations at the Al Shifa hospital, reported that five residents were hospitalized after suffering light-to-moderate injuries.

The Al Qassam brigades accused Fateh gunmen of attempting to assassinate Al Shinbari.

In a press release, the brigades stated that a Fateh team, headed by Sufian Al Kafarna, planned and carried out the attack, the Maan news agency reported.

Also, the brigades added that it will bring the assailants to justice and warned of any attempt to hide the tracks of the attack. 

Meanwhile, Fateh movement accused members of the Hamas-formed executive force of opening fire and injuring three Fateh members in the Jabalia refugee camp.

Shootout in Gaza Wounds Six Civilians

Palestinian security sources reported Wednesday that six Palestinian residents of Gaza City have been shot and wounded during a drive-by shooting in the city.

The sources said that unknown gunmen driving past the Jundi Almajhoul square in Gaza sprayed passers-by with a round of live bullets, wounding two children and a woman. The sources believed that the incident stemmed from a family feud.
