On Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers demolished a residential building in the Wadi Al-Jouz neighborhood, in the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the soldiers invaded the neighborhood, and demolished the building, consisting of three apartments.
Silwanic added that the soldiers first surrounded the building, and forced the family out, before demolishing it.
It is worth mentioning that the owner, Jaber Nader, filed several appeals against the demolition, and was ordered to self-demolish his apartment building, but refused, as he already paid fines totaling more than a million shekels over the last several years.
The building itself, inhabited by Jaber, his children, and grandchildren, including one of its three apartments, predates the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem in 1967.
