Israeli forces assaulted several Palestinians, on Friday and Saturday, after invading several areas in the northern and northeastern parts of the occupied West Bank.
Occupation forces detained and assaulted a Palestinian resident of the Tubas govenorate, on Friday night, while he was trying to pass through a military roadblock near Tubas, in the northeastern part of the West Bank.
According to Kamal Bani Oda, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) in Tubas, said that soldiers detained and assaulted the citizen, Suleiman Aref Mohammad Sawafta, 34, while he was passing through the Tayasir military roadblock, northeast of Tubas.
Before dawn on Saturday, Israeli forces invaded the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, south of Jericho in the northeastern part of the West Bank and assaulted citizens near near the town of Al-Auja, north of the city.
Media sources said occupation forces assaulted a group of young men, and pepper-sprayed them in their faces, causing various injuries; they were transported to the Jericho Governmental Hospital for treatment.
Sources added that a large army force stormed the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, south of Jericho, roamed its streets, breaking into and ransacking the home of the citizen, Bajis Al-Salmi.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces invaded, before dawn, the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, sparking protests from local Palestinians.
Media sources said that a large military force, including a D-9 military bulldozer, stormed the refugee camp from it’s southern entrance, and conducted a wide-scale search operation.
Furthermore, before dawn, occupation forces invaded the village of Salem, east of Nablus, and roamed the streets of several neighborhoods; no arrests were reported.
