On Thursday, Israeli occupation soldiers withdrew from Al-Far’a camp, south of Tubas, leaving extensive damage to the infrastructure and residents’ property, and a local mosque, during the offensive, which lasted for about ten hours.
The invasion lasted about 10 hours, during which dozens of homes were stormed and ransacked, and many citizens were abducted or detained.
Israeli bulldozers caused widespread destruction to the infrastructure and citizens’ properties, in addition to numerous violations against medical teams.
During the invasion, the soldiers also stormed the Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Mosque, and ransacked it, causing serious damage.
More than 30 soldiers invaded the mosque after smashing its door and began destroying its windows and desecrating it.
The director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, reported that Israeli soldiers invaded and ransacked dozens of homes, abducted and detained several citizens, and conducted field interrogations with most of them before releasing them later.
He added that the soldiers abducted Rabea Zaid Sarhan and took him to an unknown destination.
Israeli soldiers also committed serious violations against medical teams during the invasion; sources from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Israeli soldiers fired live rounds at its medical point inside the refugee camp, demanding the teams and volunteers close it and leave.
Medics confirmed that when Israeli soldiers invaded the medical point in the refugee camp, they fired bullets at the ground near their feet and above their heads, forcing them to close the medical point and leave.
The soldiers also intercepted an ambulance, searched it, and detained the medics for an hour and a half. They insulted and abused the medics and abducted medic, Ahmad Mohammad Odah from inside the ambulance, detaining him for about three hours before releasing him.
It is worth mentioning that the army invaded the refugee camp at midnight, entering from the Al-Hamra military checkpoint with several military patrols and accompanied by two bulldozers, one of which was a D9 bulldozer. They positioned themselves on the main road leading to the camp for some time, causing damage before entering and invading the camp.
The soldiers also closed the Al-Hamra military roadblock, near Tubas, and started firing gas bombs at the Palestinians and their cars to force them to leave.
Earlier in the invasion, a helicopter conducted an airdrop of soldiers around the camp from both the northern and southern sides.
Al-Far’a refugee camp has faced repeated invasions by Israeli forces for more than a year, with all areas of Tubas governorate experiencing these invasions and violations.
These invasions often result in deaths and injuries, as well as the abductions and mistreatment of citizens, along with violations against medical teams and journalists.
In one year since the genocide on the Gaza Strip began, 65 Palestinians from Tubas governorate have been killed, and dozens injured, during these repeated invasions.
