Israeli navy opens fire at Palestinian Fishermen in Gaza and a four-year old child is paralyzed after a gunshot in the neck, these stories and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Israeli navy detained two Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip on Thursday at dawn while fishing near Gaza shore.
Nizar Ayesh, head of the Palestinian fishermen trade union told Quds Press that an Israeli navy boat opened fire at a Palestinian fishing boat forcing them to stop, then detained them and took them to Ashdud port north of the Gaza Strip, no injuries were reported.
Ayesh added that Israeli assaults against Palestinian fishermen happens almost on daily basis, which causes a serious problem for fishermen who depend on fishing for their daily income.
Also in the Gaza strip, the Israeli Air Force bombarded, Thursday, four areas in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal region, howver no injuries were reported. Israeli military sources said the attack is in response to a Grad missile that was fired into an area close to Ashdod.
One of the targeted areas in Gaza is claimed to be a training center for Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.
Another targeted area, west of Khan Younis, was uninhibited.
In the West Bank, the Israeli military invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the village of Beit Ummar, near the southern city of Hebron. Troops broke into and searched several homes, and kidnapped three Palestinian young men.
Mohammad Awad, spokesperson of the Popular Committee against Settlements and the Annexation Wall, stated that the army kidnapped Ayman Sabarneh,17, Mohammad Sabarneh,17, and Marwan Sabarneh,19. All were transferred to an undisclosed location.
Awad added that Beit Ummar is subject of the continuous Israeli invasions and attacks.
In other news, head of the neurological department at the Al Maqassed Hospital, in East Jerusalem, Prof. Sami Hussein, stated that surgeons operated on four-year old Aseel Ara’ra, following a gunshot injury to the neck. Hussein said the child is currently in the Intensive Care Unit and her injury caused Quadriplegia.
Hussein stated that the bullet entered her neck on the left side smashing the fourth vertebrae of her spine before exiting from the right shoulder.
Her family said that she was shot by Israeli soldiers during training at a nearby military base.
