On Thursday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers reestablished a colonial outpost atop Palestinian land in the town of ‘Atara, northwest of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

Local sources reported that colonizers re-erected their encampment on Jabal Khirbet Tarfeen, near the entrance to ‘Atara.

They added that the establishment of the out outpost on the stolen Palestinian lands came following its demolition by the Israeli army on four previous occasions.

On Monday, colonizers initially set up the outpost in a renewed attempt to seize control of the hill, which spans approximately 2,000 dunums and is recognized as an archaeological site.

In related news, Israeli occupation forces abducted three Palestinian civilians on Thursday during an invasion by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers in Khirbet Hribat al-Nabi, located in the Masafer Yatta region of southern Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation issued six tenders for the construction and expansion of colonial housing, totaling around 4,000 units in the illegal colonies of “Ariel” in Salfit Governorate and “Ma’ale Adumim” in the Jerusalem Governorate.

Also Wednesday, Israeli occupation authorities issued demolition and eviction orders targeting over 13 Palestinian residential, agricultural, and industrial structures in the Wadi al-Hoad area of Al-Eizariya, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

On Monday evening, several Palestinians were injured  following an assault by the colonizers on the towns of Halhoul and Surif in the Hebron governorate, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

Earlier Monday, Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked and forcibly expelled Palestinian shepherds from grazing lands in the al-Himma area of the northern Jordan Valley, in the occupied West Bank.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
