On Saturday, marking Day 700 of Israel’s genocidal campaign against Gaza, the Israeli military intensified its aerial and ground bombardment across the besieged enclave. Residential neighborhoods and displacement camps were shelled once again, killing at least 70 Palestinians since dawn, and injuring dozens more.

Among the victims were 45 civilians in Gaza City and the northern region, and 20 others who were waiting for humanitarian aid. Famine continues to claim lives in shelters and among the rubble, as starvation spreads unchecked.

In Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, Israeli warplanes targeted a displacement tent west of Al-Aqsa Hospital, killing Fida’ Kamal Al-Loah and her daughter Batoul.

In the Zikim area, north of Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire and shelled a crowd of aid seekers, killing at least three civilians and injuring many others.

Separately, a drone strike killed a man on Al-Jala’ Street in Sheikh Radwan, while two others were killed in an airstrike on the Mortaja family home in Zeitoun, southern Gaza City.

Israeli troops also detonated multiple residential buildings east of Borkat Sheikh Radwan, further north in Gaza City.

A medical source at Hamad Hospital confirmed the arrival of one slain Palestinian and several wounded civilians, also targeted while waiting for aid.

On Al-Yarmouk Street in Gaza City, at least two Palestinians were killed and several others injured by drone-fired missiles.

In the Al-Amal neighborhood, northwest of Khan Younis, two Palestinians were killed and several others injured by drone-fired missiles targeting displaced civilians.

Additional strikes hit a residential building in the Austrian neighborhood, opposite the Jordanian field hospital, and shelled Ard al-Limon, south of Al-Mawasi, killing one and injuring others.

Two more Palestinians were killed, and several wounded, when the army fired a missile at a tent sheltering a displaced family in Mawasi Khan Younis.

Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza, by land, sea, and air, has continued unabated since October 7, 2023. The death toll has exceeded 64,368 Palestinians, including at least 17,366 children, 10,227 women, and 290 journalists. Another 162,367 have been injured, the majority of whom are women and children. Thousands remain trapped under rubble or stranded in the streets, unreachable by emergency and rescue teams.
