Israeli occupation forces abducted 56 Palestinians, including two women, from Hebron governorate, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, on Thursday, in a wide-scale campaign of raids and abuse.

Media sources said the majority of abductions occurred in the northern town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, which was placed under full military closure and declared a closed zone.

The invasion was accompanied by collective punishment, including home invasions, destruction of property, interrogations, physical assaults, and the conversion of civilian homes into military outposts.

Israeli forces stormed dozens of homes in the town, abducting over 40 residents — including two women — and held them in the town’s sports field. The town remains under siege, with all entrances sealed and movement restricted.

In the southern areas of Wadi al-Hariyya and Khirbet Qalqas, Israeli forces abducted several residents, including Qusay Abu Aisha, Raed Shahir al-Atrash, and multiple members of the al-Atrash family: Adeeb, Nour, Muhammad Anwar, Mahmoud Younes, Mu’min Mousa, Muhammad Abdul-Fattah, Nadi Abdul-Qader, Hamza Muhammad, and Nour Shakir.

In the western towns of Deir Samet and al-Burj, the occupation abducted Bahij Mahmoud al-Hroub, Mahrez Khaled al-Talahma, and two siblings, Malek and Muhammad al- Talahma after storming and ransacking their homes.
