A number Israeli settlers’ attacks were reported on Monday in two Palestinian villages located near Nablus city, in the northern part of the West Bank.
At the village of Oreef, settlers closed the road that leads to the farmers’ lands and set fire to a farming machine that belongs to one of the villagers.

Local sources reported that the settlers were from the nearby Yitzhar settlement originally built on lands stolen from the villagers of Oreef.

At the nearby village of Qarout, settlers erected checkpoints using metal nails to stop farmers from reaching their lands to plow them.

The settlers were from the nearby settlement of Shilo, local sources reported.

Villagers say the settlers want to stop them from using their lands so, in an attempt tp annex it and expand their settlements.

There are 470.000 Israeli settlers living in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. All Israeli settlement in the Palestinian Occupied areas are illegal under international law.
