Palestinian factions, including the rival Fateh and Hamas movements, held on Tuesday a meeting in northern Gaza to discuss the latest Israeli decision to deport thousands of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank. Besides Fateh and the rival Hamas movement, the leftist Palestinian People Party (PPP), the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Arab-Palestinian Front, The Islamic Jihad and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, also attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on activities to counter the Israeli decision number 1650 that will forcibly remove Gaza Strip Palestinians and their families from the West Bank, and would also lead to the deportation of Palestinians who do not a have Identity cards and international spouses of Palestinians.
The convening factions agreed to hold a massive protest on Wednesday; they called for a march starting from the Hammouda Gas Station towards the Beit Hanoun (Eretz) crossing.
They decided that regardless of political differences, and the ongoing rift between Hamas and Fateh, all factions must all unite to counter the ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation.
