Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child, on Thursday night, for allegedly throwing stones near the village of Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that one Palestinian was killed and another was injured after occupation forces shot them with live ammunition near Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya.
The slain citizen was identified as 16-year-old Fadi Zaydan Oweiss, according to the Quds Press and Palestine TV news outlets.
In a statement, the Israeli army announced that its “Unit 636” killed a Palestinian citizen whom it claimed “was throwing stones at Israeli vehicles on a main road near the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya.”
The army added that soldiers opened fire “three (people) who were throwing stones at Israeli vehicles” which resulted in the death of what it called a “masked man” while they continued to search for two others.
At midnight Thursday/Friday, the WAFA News Agency reported that occupation forces opened fire towards a vehicle in the village of Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews received reports of injuries in the area, however Israeli forces prevented them from approaching the area.
On Wednesday, occupation forces killed 16-year-old Yousef Ali Ka’abna, after shooting him in the chest with live ammunition in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Since the beginning of 2026, Israeli soldiers and colonizers have killed 60 Palestinian citizens, including 15 children and 6 women in the occupied West Bank.
In the Jenin governorate, 2 Palestinians have been killed in 2026, while 2 were killed in Qalqilia, 5 in Tubas, 12 in Nablus, 2 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, 13 in Ramallah, 7 in Jerusalem, 3 in Bethlehem, 14 in Hebron, and 1 in Salfit.
