Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the “ceasefire” agreement in the Gaza Strip on Friday, carrying out airstrikes, drone attacks, artillery shelling, and live fire that killed and wounded Palestinians in several areas of the besieged enclave, while also targeting homes, civilian infrastructure, and displacement areas.
Media sources said that on Friday evening, an Israeli warplane fired missiles at a group of Palestinians on al‑Wehda Street, west of Gaza City, killing one Palestinian and wounding others.
Earlier, Israeli aircraft bombed a gathering of civilians in Shawwa Square in the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, killing three Palestinians and injuring others.
The same neighborhood had already been targeted earlier in the day, when an Israeli strike on another group of Palestinians in Tuffah killed three more residents and wounded many.
Medical and local sources reported that a Palestinian man, identified as Salem Zuhdi Qreiqa, was killed and two others were injured when an Israeli drone fired a missile at civilians in the courtyard of a home in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City. The attack was described as direct targeting of civilians inside a residential compound.
Residents reported that Israeli tanks opened heavy fire east of Gaza City, coinciding with intensified aerial and artillery attacks on the eastern neighborhoods of the city. The shelling and gunfire forced many families to flee further west, deepening the displacement crisis in an area already devastated by nearly three years of ongoing attacks.
At the same time, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern areas of the Tuffah neighborhood in conjunction with gunfire from military vehicles, with no immediate reports of additional casualties.
In the central Gaza Strip, several Palestinians were injured when Israeli forces bombed a home in the al‑Bureij refugee camp.
Medical sources said a Palestinian woman was shot by Israeli fire near the entrance to al‑Bureij camp, while another Palestinian was shot on Salahuddin Road near Wadi Gaza Bridge.
Local sources added that Israeli military vehicles advanced near Wadi Gaza Bridge and opened fire toward Palestinians in the area.
In a separate incident, the army shelled the courtyard of a home in Block 9 in al‑Bureij camp, though no injuries were immediately reported.
Israeli forces also opened fire at Palestinian homes east of the al‑Maghazi refugee camp amid continued military escalation along the eastern areas.
In the early hours of Friday, medical sources reported that seven Palestinians with injuries ranging from moderate to serious were transferred to several hospitals following an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses said an Israeli helicopter bombed commercial warehouses beneath a building near Yarmouk Stadium in central Gaza City. The Civil Defense in Gaza said its crews managed to control a fire that broke out at the targeted site as a result of the strike.
Local sources also reported that Israeli naval vessels opened heavy machine‑gun fire and launched shells toward Palestinian fishing boats and the Gaza coastline, forcing fishermen to leave the sea and further restricting access to already limited livelihoods.
These attacks on Friday came in the context of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been nominally in effect since October 10, 2025.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, as reported on Thursday, Israeli violations of the ceasefire have killed 922 Palestinians and wounded 2,786 others, while 781 bodies have been recovered from destroyed areas since the agreement was announced.
The Ministry also confirmed that since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, at least 72,819 Palestinians have been killed and 172,894 wounded in the Gaza Strip, noting that the real figures are likely higher due to the vast destruction, the collapse of health services, and the inability of rescue teams to reach many devastated areas.
As is customary on Fridays, the Health Ministry in Gaza has not issued a daily casualty update for the entire coastal enclave. Palestinian and regional media outlets, including Al-Jazeera, have reported individual strikes, deaths, and injuries throughout the day, but no official cumulative toll for Friday has been released.
