Israeli sources reported that three Israeli soldiers were injured, on Tuesday morning, when an explosive device, planted near the border fence with Gaza, detonated near their vehicle. One of the soldiers suffered light to moderate wounds due to a limb injury, , and was moved to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. The other two soldiers suffered mild injuries, and were treated by military medics.
The explosion took place near Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and was caused by an explosive device placed by Palestinian fighters in Gaza, the Israeli army said.
According to the Ynet, Palestinian fighters exchanged fire with the soldiers after the blast; no injuries were reported in the ensuing clashes.
