At least 50 civilians were injured in Gaza when Israeli missile exploded near civilians, meanwhile in the West Bank Israeli troops invade communities and kidnap civilians. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Palestinian medical sources said that 50 Palestinian civilians were injured on Thursday afternoon when an Israeli missile exploded near residents homes in Beit Lahyia town in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Three civilians were moved to hospital and were admitted to surgery after sustaining critical wounds, medical sources added.
According to witnesses, a missile that was fired by Israeli jetfighters and did not explode during last summer Israeli war on Gaza was found near residents’ homes on Thursday, when some local men tried to disarm it and remove it the missile went off causing huge damage and injuring 50 civilians.
Palestinian sources report that during the Israeli war on Gaza last summer, Jetfighters bombed Gaza with hundreds of live ammunition, scores of those missiles and bombs did not explode and continue to threaten the life of the civilian population of the coastal enclave.
Elsewhere, Palestinian medical sources have reported that an elderly woman suffered a broken hand, and various cuts and bruises, after Israeli soldiers attacked and beat her on the al-Karama Border Terminal, while heading back home from Jordan.
The woman, Yosra Mohammad Qatesh, 60 years of age, was detained for nearly 24 hours while on her way back home in ‘Azzoun town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.
Her son, Mohammad Abdul-Aziz Kharfan, said the soldiers repeatedly attacked his mother, and broke her wrist and hand, while violently pushing her into their vehicle.
He added that his mother went to Amman several days ago to renew her Jordanian passport since she carries a Jordanian National Number, as part of her preparations to go to Mecca for pilgrimage.
In other news, Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Thursday at dawn, thirteen Palestinians from different parts of the occupied West Bank, including one Palestinian from occupied East Jerusalem.
