Israeli sources have reported that several shots were fired, on Tuesday at night, at soldiers near Halhoul town, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank.
The sources said that the shots were fired from a moving vehicle, adding that the incident did not lead to any casualties.
The Israeli army said the soldiers fired back at the car, installed many roadblocks in and around the area, and initiated extensive searches, in an attempt to locate the vehicle.
Local sources said dozens of soldiers were deployed at the al-Hawawer junction, north of Halhoul, and apparently abducted two Palestinians, after sealing the entire area off.
